So I spill onto the floor and
slosh around uselessly for hours,
hoping someone might slip

The longing is palpable. I think I need a moment to recover from this poem.

Thanks for stopping by and reading and commenting on so many poems. I have been writing so much lately. I wonder how long I will keep it up.

I know those feelings - brings a clotting in the throat. Well written.

Very nice. That last line packs a real wallop.
