Oh, the sadness in this feels heavy in the chest, Brian. Wish it could be different.. some people get much more than their fair share in this life as your poem so succinctly attests to.. hope you're holding up well, my friend.
So modern. A middle aged woman's stark reality. Harsh, humbling, depressing and oh so true to life.
